Our donation boxes are turning up in offices, homes and in places where folks gather together in friendship and love. Some are filled with the extra change at the end of the day - some are filled with pennies, some with dollars - all are gratefully accepted on behalf of those in our community who are less fortunate. The extra change that you don't miss will purchase a bouquet of spring flowers for someone's grandmother who is freightened and alone in a hospital or nursing home. Those extra pennies can add up to enough to shop for the grocery staples for someone who is disabled - and maybe allow enough for a box of tea bags to sooth the soul of someone who can't get out on their own. When you grab a quick lunch at a fast food restaurant, match that amount and put it into your donation box - what amounts to a fast meal for you translates into the only thing a homeless person may eat for the day.
